Mistakes I Made My Freshman Year (SoMSS Student Ambassadors panel)

-
Abstract

This Student Ambassadors panel focuses on a topic that every college student can relate to – the mistakes we made during freshman year.

College is a big transition. It’s full of opportunities, freedom, challenges, and yes – a few missteps along the way. Whether it’s academic struggles, social slip-ups, time management disasters, or simply learning how to take care of ourselves, the first year is often about figuring things out the hard way.

Our panelists are mathematics majors who serve as Student Ambassadors in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. They will share honest stories about the mistakes they made, what they learned from them, and what they wish they had known starting out.

We hope you walk away with practical advice, relatable stories, and some genuine encouragement.
