On the Utility of Mathematical Models of HIV Infection Within-Host

-
Abstract

In this talk, I will begin with historical examples in which mathematical modeling has shaped current understanding and clinical progress in HIV management, and then move to today’s frontier, where models are actively informing the search for a functional cure. I will emphasize the interdisciplinary challenges of HIV modeling, drawing on collaborations across mathematics, biological theory, experimentation, and clinical practice.
