In this talk I will introduce a class of non-Hausdorff groupoids given as the groupoid of germs of the dihedral groups acting on an appropriate LCH space X. Then we will show that the reduced C*-algebra of the groupoid admits a 1-dimensional space of singular elements. Singular elements show up for non-Hausdorff groupoids in the context of simplicity, which I will also discuss if there is time.
