Have you ever pondered how you learn mathematics, how others learn mathematics, and how to craft instruction to meet the needs of all students? Have you thought about careers in mathematics education, where things are headed, and what the possibilities are? 

In this seminar we will hear from Ted Coe (Wexler Award 1993, ASU graduate BAE 1993, MEd 1995, PhD 2007) about these topics and more. Ted will provide a brief presentation outlining his career path from high school teacher to professor, non-profit director, vice president, company founder and book author (Decluttering Mathematics, Sept. 2026). There will be ample time to discuss instructional practice, assessment, career paths, and what you can do to set yourself apart as you aim for your goals.
