The Hilbert-Pólya conjecture and the Upper-Half Plane

-
Abstract

The conjecture of Hilbert and Pólya posits the possible existence of a self-adjoint operator, whose Eigenvalues parametrize the zeros of the Riemann-Zeta function. This talk explores some of the recent developments of conjecture, using spectral methods on the hyperbolic upper half-plane.
