How to Apply

Conquer the application process

If you want to join the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Arizona State University as a graduate student, you must fulfill the general university requirements and those of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. While each of our master’s degree and doctorate programs have unique admission requirements, the minimum standards set by ASU Graduate Education include, but are not limited to:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field
  • A maintained GPA of at least 3.00 or higher
  • Proof of English proficiency for international students

Along with your online application to ASU Graduate Education, you must submit your transcripts, GRE scores, a statement of education and career goals, and three letters of recommendation. Additional factors to be considered for different programs may include writing samples, course work in specific areas or certain skillsets.
