Correspondence of SOA/CAS Preliminary Exams and ASU Courses

This table shows the correspondence between the Society of Actuaries (SOA) preliminary examinations and Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and ASU courses. The Casualty Actuarial Society gives credits for four SOA exams.

This table shows how the three CAS/SOA Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) requirements can be satisfied by ASU courses. The VEE topics are not prerequisites for the preliminary exams (Exams P/1, FM/2, MLC, MFE/3F and C/4) and may be fulfilled independently of the exam process. However, you must pass two SOA or CAS actuarial exams before applying to have your VEE credit added to your record.
