Course Selection

Course Selection Guidance

In order to fulfill the Economics, Accouting and Finance, and Mathematical Statistics VEE requirements, students need to complete the following courses:

Economics

  • ECN 211: Macroeconomic Principles (3 cr.)
  • ECN 212: Microeconomic Principles (3 cr.)

Accounting and Finance

  • FIN 300: Fundamentals of Finance (3 cr.)

Mathematical Statistics

  • STP 427: Mathematical Statistics (3 cr.)

This table shows how the three CAS/SOA Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) requirements can be satisfied by ASU courses. The VEE topics are not prerequisites for the preliminary exams and may be fulfilled independently of the exam process. However, you must pass two SOA or CAS actuarial exams before applying to have your VEE credit added to your record.
