Student Research Lightning Talks

-
Abstract

We are making this a student-only event to encourage a relaxed environment open for student discussion.

Come support your fellow students who will deliver short talks about their research. We are excited to have a diverse range of topics for this semester's lightning talks, and these talks are intended to be accessible to a general STEM audience.

Student Presentations:

The Jones polynomial of collections of open curves in 3-space -- Kasturi Barkataki, 1st year Mathematics PhD student

Assessing the Impact of Intervention Programs on Gang Dynamics: A Mathematical Modeling Approach -- Theophilus Kwofie, 2nd year Applied Mathematics PhD student

Exploring Students' Mathematics Identity Development -- Jason Guglielmo, 3rd year Mathematics Education PhD student

This event is hosted by the Math Bio Club and is open to all students. We hope you join us to learn about the exciting research by fellow students!
