TA Support

The School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences has more than 70 TA lines it fully supports.

Tuition

The school typically pays ASU tuition for full-time doctoral students with 20 hour-per-week graduate teaching or research assistantships. In 2019-20, this is a direct benefit of between $12,608 (for Arizona residents) and $29,149(for international students) per academic year. Stipends

For 2017-18, the stipend for doctoral student teaching assistantships (TAs) in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences is $20,000 per nine months, with an increase after passing the qualifier exams to approximately $20,800. and another increase after passing the comprehensive exam to about $21,600.
