Join us on February 12 for the State Farm MAGNet event to find out more about this internship program for actuarial science, statistics and applied mathematics graduate students.

State Farm has developed a unique internship opportunity for graduate students enrolled in actuarial science, statistics, or applied mathematics at ASU – the Modeling and Analytics Graduate Network (MAGNet). MAGNet interns apply their statistical modeling and analytic skills to a wide variety of business problems faced by the State Farm organization.

What does the internship provide?
MAGNet interns receive a competitive hourly wage and full tuition support for the duration of the internship. Some State Farm benefits may also apply.

Who qualifies for the MAGNet program?
Any student enrolled or accepted to the actuarial science, statistics or applied mathematics graduate programs at ASU.

What experience is needed?
Statistical modeling and machine learning
Data analytics and database tools
Computer programming (especially Python, SAS or R)
Communicating and presenting technical material

Who should attend this MAGNet event?
Any graduate student currently enrolled in or accepted into the actuarial science, statistics or applied mathematics graduate programs at ASU.
Any undergraduate student thinking of applying to the actuarial science, statistics or applied mathematics graduate programs at ASU.
Any graduate or undergraduate student of any major interested in learning more about MAGNet.
