For each irrational number t in (0,1), Effros and Shen constructed a simple AF C*-algebra from the continued fraction expansion of t. These are fundamental examples that show up in lots of places. We will discuss the problem of assembling them into a continuous C*-bundle. This requires a natural, if unusual, relationship between continued fractions and the numbers they represent.
