COVID-19 Vaccination modeling: Optimal control, noise, and estimation of parameters.

-
Abstract

This talk has two main objectives. First, we show how we can apply ideas from optimal control to describe vaccination policies. Then we give an example for which we can improve uncertainty quantification when we fit an epidemic model with COVID-19 data by adding Brownian noise. The intention is to establish ideas towards optimal stochastic control of epidemic models.
