Public-science communication and outreach in mathematics

-
Abstract
Whether leading crafts or tutorials in K12 classrooms, giving presentations in senior-citizen centers, writing expository articles or publications for children, interacting with journalists, developing online resources, or getting involved in museums, there are many ways to share math in public-science settings. In this informal seminar, we will talk about the various opportunities and venues for getting involved that we have encountered, and I’ll share some resources for and examples of public-science communication.
