Fluid-Structure Interactions (FSI) refer to the complex interplay between fluid flows and solid structures, encompassing a wide range of phenomena where the behavior of one directly influences and is influenced by the other. In this presentation, we will discuss some recent results on collision and rebound dynamics for rigid and deformable solids in a viscous fluid environment. The focus will be on the case of no-slip boundary conditions, where fascinating phenomena can be observed due to the fact that particle-wall collisions cannot occur in finite time.
