Abstract

Jodi Mead received her PhD in Computational Mathematics in 1998 from Arizona State University under the direction of professor Rosemary Renaut. Upon graduation she held a postdoc in the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University. She is currently a professor in the Mathematics department at Boise State University and co-Director of the PhD in Computing. Professor Mead will share her experiences navigating the academic world.

Description

This talk is part of the Professional Development seminar offered for graduate students in mathematics programs, including all the SOMSS graduate degree programs. We will discuss professional opportunities after the doctorate.
