Abstract

Two well-known applications of spectral graph theory are spatial embedding and approximation of optimal cuts. We will look at spectral graph theory as a tool to analyze ICD-10 medical diagnosis codes (a list of approximately 68,000 discrete diagnoses). We will focus on partitions and classifications of diagnoses for machine input and human interpretation.
