I will discuss ways that math events sometimes fail to be inclusive for mathematicians from minority genders and LGBTQ+ mathematicians. I will then touch on a framework that I have found useful when organizing events to help make them more inclusive. This talk will be informal with plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Your ASU student chapter of AWM (Association for Women in Math) is hosting its weekly LUNCH (Largely Underappreciated Nerd Community Hour). These will take place every Friday from 11am to Noon (AZ time) via Zoom. Due to the virtual nature of our meetings, it will be a BYOL, bring your own lunch, event.
