Prepare for career day - how to write your résumé and create your elevator pitch

Whether you're applying for an internship or seeking your dream job, having a quality résumé and application materials that get you noticed are key to your success. We will go through the documents section by section so that you know exactly how to create them. We will also help you create your :30 "elevator pitch" to be able to quickly and effectively communicate about you and your career aspirations to employers.

REU Info Night

One of our fellow members, Manuel Morales, will describe his experience in completing an REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates). In this meeting, we hope to inform you of the numerous opportunities to contribute to the math community while participating in research that suits your purposes. The presentation will place an emphasis on origami, so come ready to be creative! As always, food will be provided, and guests are always welcome! Hope to see you there!

Life After College Workshop - Getting the most out of a career fair, and how to market your skills

The Life After College Workshops are designed to prepare both undergraduate and gradute students for the upcoming ASU Math and Statistics Career Day on September 19 in the Memorial Union.

This workshop will teach students the tips and tricks of networking during a career fair. We will discuss Handshake, tools for success, how to create your :30 elevator pitch, and how to dress appropriately for the upcoming career day.
