Course Description

This is a graduate-level introduction to complex analysis. Complex analysis is a strikingly beautiful field of mathematics, with deep connections to algebra, analysis, geometry, and number theory; and an astonishing array of applications in other fields of mathematics, physics, and engineering. We will cover most of the first six chapters of the text, and selected other sections depending on the interests and enthusiasm of the class. There will be regular homework assignments, but no exams.

See the course web site on Blackboard (enrolled students only) at My ASU for more information.
