The Legacy of R. L. Moore -- just
as one cannot become a violinist
by just listening to many performances, watching someone else present proofs is
not enough to become a mathematician: Every one has to DO the proofs her/himself:

Instructor's Resource Manual for
the MAT 300 textbook (same author as our text).
Written for the instructor -- still students may enjoy browsing these
suggestions, especially about expected difficulties.
Lots of valuable advice.

Lots of valuable comments and suggestions, but a much harder class than ours.

Explanation guide -- here continuity. This site also frequently
comes up on Google searches -- I have not really checked it, but it seems
OK for quick look-ups of defintions and theorems (and their specific
hypotheses).

It is impossible to select a class format and textbook that match student's learning style.
Ideally, there should be no need for any outside help or any third resources -- still, some
students insist on utilizing other materials.
The following are some other popular textbooks
that are used for this course in our department and other schools on various years.
But NONE of these follow the modern approach that we are taking.
Please don't expect that spending much money will do the job -- still, if you manage to pick
up a used copy, you may find it useful.
