Programs for Graphing Calculators
These programs are mostly needed for students who study course MAT 211
(Mathematics for Business Analysis) with a "nonstandard" calculator. The
standard calculators for this course are TI-83/83+/84+.
To obtain the programs, you may either ask me personally or download the
programs from these pages. To download calculator programs from internet,
you will need special software and cables available for sale in the same
stores where you bought your calculators. You should save the file from
internet to your local cumputer, and then download it from your computer
to your calculator.
The Programs
-
CASIO calculators don't have the ref and rref functions
needed in the course MAT 211. Below are links to download programs
REF and RREF replacing these functions:
-
TI-85/86 calculators don't have the distributions. In the course MAT 211,
we study the binomial and the normal distribution. The necessary
functions are: binompdf, binomcdf,
normalpdf, normalcdf, invNorm.
Below are links to download programs BINPDF,
BINCDF, NORPDF, NORCDF, and
INVNOR replacing these functions:

Also, I have written a program SUM2 calculating integral
sums for different types of calculators. I use this programs in
teaching MAT 210 - Brief Calculus. To see the program, please click here.
- Finally, here is an application by Detached Solutions,
allowing to draw 3-dimensional graphs on calculator TI-83+ (see http://detachedsolutions.com/graph3):
