ABSTRACT:

We consider two models of spatially explicit population dynamics in
which the total population is globally regulated to be
constant. Using a variety of techniques we find a range of novel
dynamical behaviors, from steady-state profiles, to anomalous
spreading phases, to spatial collapse.
