Concentration in Statistics

ASU does not offer statistics as a separate major. Instead, students interested in specializing in statistics can do so as a concentration under the Bachelor of Science program in mathematics. The courses listed below satisfy all of the requirements for a BS degree in mathematics. In addition, the concentration in statistics is noted on the student's transcript.

Note: The concentration is available only to students in the 2001-02 and subsequent catalog years. Students pursuing degrees under previous catalogs may use these courses only to satisfy the requirements for the BS in mathematics.

Restrictions:

  1. MAT 370 and MAT 371 may not both be counted toward degree requirements in mathematics.
  2. Credit may not be earned for both MAT 274 and 275 or both MAT 342 and 343.
  3. A minimum grade of C is required in all coursework used to satisfy major requirements.
