Students who are new to the School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences (e.g. freshman math majors, transfer students, or other majors who are considering a major or minor in math) are encouraged to consult with a math advisor.
Students will generally need to make an appointment for advisement. The list of advisors is listed at the bottom of this page. Students are responsible for providing their 10-digit ASU affiate ID (starting with a 1000 or 1200).

- What should I do if courses do not appear in my DARS where they are supposed to?
Courses taken at UA or NAU, as well as community colleges in Arizona, should transfer automatically according to the official Course Equivalency Guide. If you want to have a course you took outside Arizona count towards your degree requirements you should first fill out and submit a Course equivalency form (MS Word) to the math undergraduate program front desk, PSA 211. Upon approval, you should take the written confirmation you pick up in PSA 211 to the registrar's office. Make sure you allow sufficient time for the paperwork to be processed (one to two weeks) and the course to appear in your DARS. Consult with an advisor if you have any question.
