Dr. Kuang works in ordinary, functional and partial differential equations with a special emphasis on the qualitative behavior of their solutions. His research motivated by applications in mathematical ecology and other subject areas. Examples include: predator-prey interaction, age- or stage structure, general food chains, metapopulations. The models typically address time-delay and/or diffusion effects.
