Dr. Gelb's research interests include high order finite difference and spectral methods for solving nonlinear hyperbolic partial differential equations, including gas dynamics and shallow water equations. She is also interested in image processing
problems from Fourier data, with applications in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR).
