Current research interests: Dr. Crook uses mathematical models, analysis, and computer simulations to examine the behavior of neurons and neural networks and their role in neural computation. Her research focuses on understanding how individual neurons represent and process information and how the dynamics of large networks of spiking neurons contributes to neural processing of information. She is also developing theoretical and computational models for biological processes that link genetic information with physiology and function.
