Mathematics Tutor Center
The Math Tutor Center is located In
PSA-116. You can get help, if you are enrolled at ASU, with MAT 106,
117(and the stretch version 194), 119, 142, 170, 210, 211, 251, and MTE
180 and 181.

This is free, quality tutoring to all ASU
students registered in those math classes.
However, you
must bring
your Sun Card.
The first day of operation for spring semester is Tuesday, January 22.
Spring 2008 Tutor Center Hours:
8 am - 8 pm Monday through Thursday
8 am - 12 noon Friday
12 noon - 4 pm Sunday
Holiday Closures:
The tutor center will be closed Easter Sunday, March 23.
It will close for spring break at 12 noon on Friday, March 7 and
remained closed until 8 am Monday, March 17.
Please note:
The last day of regular operation
for the spring semester is the last day of classes, Tuesday, April 29

1. Where is the Mathematics Tutor Center?
The Math
Tutor Center is located in PSA 116, on the first floor of the
Wexler Building, Physical Sciences A-Wing.
You enter
the Tutor Center directly from the outside (South side) of the
math tower, near the Oasis food stand.
2. What are the hours
of operation of the tutor center?
See Above.
3. Is the Mathematics Tutor Center open on
weekends?
Yes, the tutor center is open 12 noon - 4 pm Sundays.
4. Is the tutor center free to all
students registered
in a math class at ASU ?
No. But it
is free to students registered in the courses listed above. However,
you must bring your Sun Card.
5. Is there other
math tutoring available on campus? Yes
- Consider
Learning Support Services as an additional source of math
tutoring. Check out the LSS web site or call for more information:
965-6254.
- Also, Math 170, 265-267, 270-272, 274/275, and 342/343 students should
seek help from their teacher, although they can also get help at the
Engineering Tutor Center in ECF 102

There is tutoring in PSA
202 for MAT 117 (redesign) and STP 220/226/231 from 11-4 Monday through
Thursday.
6. What are some other things I should know
about the Math Tutor Center?
- First, you
have your Sun Card and use it to scan in and out.
- Sit down at one of the tables, make
yourself
comfortable,
get your math book and your work out, and raise the pink prism on the
table
whenever you run into a question that you would like to ask a tutor.
- There is no time limit; you can stay in
the tutor center as long as it is open for business.
- Try to avoid test days and the day before test days:
you can expect to wait longer during those times.
7. Are there any tutoring jobs available in the
math tutor center?
Applications are always
accepted
in PSA-211. A concurrent instructional aide position is required.
