To start off, make sure all graphs in the y(x)= mode are cleared out, if not, press CLEAR for each entry.

Clearing Data Lists:

Entering Data:

Enter data in ordered pairs ( x1 , y1 ), ( x2 , y2 ), etc., Be sure to press ENTER after each entry.

Drawing a Scatter Plot:

Check range (RANGE as you would in graphing and equation) so it fits your data

GRAPH, RANGE (F2), Adjust range now

EXIT

STAT, DRAW (F3), SCAT (F2), CLEAR (gets rid of menu stuff)

Linear Regression Line and Plot:

STAT, CALC (F1), ENTER (2 times)

LINR (F2) (**This yields your a and b for your linear regression equation y = ax + b Write these values down!)

GRAPH, y(x) =

STAT, VARS (F5), MORE (2 times)

RegEq (F2) (This will not officially enter the actual equation. You have to write down a and b from previous part**)

ENTER, EXIT (2 times)

(F5) GRAPH (Graphs regression line)
