MAT 265 - Calculus for Engineers I

Spring 2008

  • Prerequisites: (1) A grade of 'C' or better in Precalculus MAT 170 or (2) equivalent to MAT 170 and completion of the department Unified Placement Exam. The placement exam is taken online and must be completed prior to registration.

  • Suggested Syllabus: (doc form) or (pdf form) is just a suggested syllabus. Your instructor may use a different syllabus. Check with your instructor.

  • Testing Center: The Mathematics Testing Center is located in PSA-21 (basement). For exams given there you will need your ASU SunCard to be admitted. The hours are M-Th 8 am to 8 pm (last test handed out at 6:30) and Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm (last test handed out at 3:30 pm). You can find more information at Testing Center Information.

  • Calculator: A graphing calculator is required for this course. If you already have a calculator, you may use it. If not, please talk to your instructor for a recommendation. Calculators with QWERTY keyboards or those that do symbolic algebra, such as the Casio FX2, Casio 9970Gs, TI-89 or TI-92 cannot be used in class or during an exam. Calculator Help
