PDE aspects of the Navier-Stokes equations

The solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations can exhibit a very rich variety of behaviors, from simple but illuminating text-book type examples, to complicated phenomena which remain mathematically unexplained. In this talk I will try to give some illustrations of this.
